Jau Yeou Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JY) was established in 1980 to target the manufacture of nuts as main products. JY began to produce screws in 1985. In 1990, JY was participated in the Alliance for R & D of Aerospace Fasteners, formed by five representative fastener companies domestically to meet the strategy of industrial upgrading and respond to the call of Chainman Wu of the Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute. The Alliance was supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and commissioned by ITRI/CAST. By attending the Alliance, JY has passed the certification of AS9100 aerospace quality management system, completed the development of two products, passed the certification of aviation standard part, and obtained the opportunity to cooperate with Boeing and GE Aviation through the subsequent Industrial Cooperation Program under the MOEA.
However, except for JY, the members of the Alliance for R & D of Aerospace Fasteners have withdrawn from the aerospace industry with the end of the project. JY determined to enter the aerospace industry by employing three experts from Center for Aviation and Space Technology in 2000 and establishing a new business unit of Advance Technology Center to conduct research and development of aerospace products on a continuous basis and purchase the precision machining equipment required for the manufacture of aerospace products. In 2001, JY obtained orders from GE Aviation Engine Tube and established the subsidiary companies of Rising Fast Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as RFT) and JYR Aviation Components Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JYR) to develop, manufacture, and market the aviation engine parts.
Both RFT and JYR have passed the certification of AS9100 and AS9120 aerospace quality management system, as well as Nadcap certification of Vacuum Heat Treating, Vacuum Brazing, TIG Welding, NDT and Chemical Processing. Because of the excellent performance, RFT obtained orders of machining precision parts from Spirit Aerosystems and Triumph Aviation. As requested by GE Aviation to further develop aviation bolts, JYR employed experts on aviation bolts and purchased Warm Forming Machine from Europe.
RFT and JYR are planning to establish an Aviation Science Park in southern Taiwan to meet the growing market demand for aerospace products and resolve the potential problem with insufficient space in existing factory units. The Aviation Science Park is expected to launch operations in the third quarter of 2019. With the increase in production capacity, the operation of the Aviation Science Park is expected to meet the needs from aerospace customers and create greater profits for the company.
