    Northwestern and Southwester parts of Hyderabad are not connected via metro, taking Hyderabad Metro rail network to the 2nd largest in the country.

    Hyderabad Metro Rail gets a 16 km extension

    Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governor, ESL Narasimhan, inaugurated a 16 km extension of Hyderabad Metro Rail on 24th September. The extension will enable connectivity between Ameerpet and LB Nagar – marking the complete operation of Phase-I of Hyderabad Metro.

    Corridor-I, which runs from Miyapur to LB Nagar, covers some of the most congested traffic corridors in Hyderabad. Corridor-I’s route will contain 29 stations enabling seamless connectivity with other public transport options.

    The completion and inauguration of Phase-I of Hyderabad Metro takes the city’s total Metro rai network to 46 km, making it the second-largest in India after Delhi. The Northwestern parts of the city and the Southeastern parts are now connected via Metro.
