Aarvee Associates was awarded the work for preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for Elevated Bus Rapid Transit System (EBRTS) project. Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) said Aarvee Associates was awarded the work for preparation of DPR at its quoted a rate of Rs 106 lakh. The firm has to submit the DPR for the project within three months, which includes alignment fixation, location of stations, traffic studies and ridership estimation, soil investigation, social and environmental impact assessment and financial model.
Two firms namely RITES, a PSU of Indian Railways, and Aarvee Associates participated in the tenders called by Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML) for preparation of DPR for EBRTS project. After technical evaluation, both firms were found qualified and their financial bids were opened. Aarvee Associates quoted Rs 106 lakh, while RITES quoted Rs 129 lakh for preparation of DPR. Based on the combined technical and financial score, Aarvee Associates was awarded the work for preparation of DPR.
The preferred alignment is proposed to be well integrated with major public transport systems as follows:
- KPHB Metro Station, HMRL Metro Line-1 (Existing).
- Hitech City MMTS Railway Station (Existing).
- Mindspace Metro Station, HMRL (Corridor-3 Upcoming)
- Hyderabad Airport Metro Rail Link at Raidurg (Proposed).
- Hyderabad Metro (Phase-2) at its junction with Gachibowli – Miyapur Road (Proposed)
The proposed corridor (17 kms long ) will be fully elevated, with stations located at a spacing of around 500 to 600 meters for easy accessibility. It shall have depots at-grade position both at terminals and one in between for operational convenience and non-fare revenue generation.
