The official in-charge of the e-auction drive said, the process is an exercise to ensure transparency in allotments. The plots are in two categories — one of 18 to 100 sq m and another from 110 to 350 sq m.”
In order to facilitate applicants with the e-auction process, the consultant agency will hold workshop on October 16, 23 and 26 at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra from 2.30 to 5.30pm.
Sudhir Srivastava from Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) welcomed the move. “It’s a good move to go for online auction of commercial plots. This will bring-in transparency and accountability. The process will ensure that genuine applicants get the plots rather than the earlier practice of hobnobbing with the Authority staff for out-of-turn gains,” said Srivastava. He added that a similar process should be initiated for allotment of industrial plots. “Since we are going in for online payments, applications and tracking of bills etc., the process of allotment of plots through e-auction is a logical move. The lesser the interaction with the Authority, the better. This will help curb corruption,” added Srivastava.
