Tata Power Solar is expanding its solar module capacity to double in a two stage extension it increases its cell manufacturing capacity by 65% in Bengaluru.
The module manufacturing facility in Bengaluru is said to be equipped with cutting edge modern technology and its operational character is fully mechanized.
“The two-stage expansion doubled the company’s module capacity to 400 MW from 200 MW, and increased its cell manufacturing capacity by 65 per cent from 180 MW to 300 MW,” the company said in a statement.

The expansion has also been triumphant to Team Tata Power and in high spirits to witness its accomplishment knowing the facts that other companies are trying to meet basic requirements to keep going.
Tata Power Solar has shipped 1 GW modules to over 30 countries, of which more than 60 per cent was shipped in the last five years, the statement said.
