Kongsberg Group enters into MoU with India’s PTC

The MoU paves the way for the Kongsberg's entry into the Indian renewable sector.

 Kongsberg Group enters into MoU with India’s PTC. The Digital AS of Norway, a part of the 200 year-old Kongsberg Group, has recently entered into a  MoU with the Power Trading Corporation of India (PTC). PTC is India’s largest power trading corporation.

The contract signing was held at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi,  as quoted by Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi portal,.

The contract is focused on the wind sector and digitalisation opportunities in renewable energy.

The PTC will endeavour to market software called ‘Empower’. This is a wind forecasting, condition monitoring and performance monitoring software.

It will be  promoted as a utility tool for wind-based independent power players. The PTC will also combine the software with their other products.

All parties agreed on collaborating more on avenues in renewable energy . Such aspects include training and development and capacity building.

On different aspects of renewable energy such as solar, wind, hydro and smart grids there may also be Joint Working Groups established.
