The length of the proposed Metro railway route from Mundka in Delhi to Bahadurgarh town here, would be 11.182 km. Out of this, an area of 4.27 km would fall in Haryana while 6.307 km would come in Delhi. This was stated at a coordination meeting of Jhajjar district administrative authorities and senior officials of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) regarding execution of Mundka to Bahadurgarh Metro Rail Project. A total of Rs 2,000 crore is the estimated cost of the project, out of which Rs 788 crore would be spent by Haryana, Jhajjar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ajit Balaji Joshi said. The route map and length of the proposed metro track besides other points required for better coordination were discussed, he said. The meeting discussed about the construction of a depot for the project at Bahadurgarh town. The proposal of extension of the metro train upto Bahadurgarh from Mundka was approved at a high-level meeting of Empowered Group of Ministers headed by Union Defence Minister, AK Antony, held in August.
