    A Silicon Valley technology driven, offsite construction start-up, signed an agreement with The Ministry of Housing, Saudi Arabia, represented by the Development Housing Initiative – to build 4101 individual homes across the Kingdom. The signing took place in the presence of Minister of Housing Majed Bin Abdullah Al-Hogail and Ziyad Al-Ashaikh, partner head of Softbank SBIA, Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed by Ash Bhardwaj, Katerra president for Asia and Middle East.

    Katerra has experienced rapid growth since 2015.  Today, the start-up has over 5,000 employees, 6 operational factories and 700+ projects in progress across America and India. Katerra, the technology driven global construction company wants to recruit talent from Saudi Arabia and Asia to grow footprint in the region. Katerra was founded on the vision that applying systems approaches to building development, design, and construction would eliminate unnecessary time and incurred costs and a vision of a future where efficiency wouldn’t have to come at the expense of quality or sustainability.     The new construction will provide housing units for the beneficiaries of the Development Housing Initiative in line with the Kingdom’s objectives. The signing ceremony was held under the patronage and presence of His Excellency, Minister of Housing, Mr. Majed Bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and Ziyad Al Ashaikh, Partner Head of Softbank SBIA, Saudi Arabia and was signed by Ash Bhardwaj, President Asia and Middle East, Katerra. committed to support the initiative and use its unique technology to bring better and faster homes to families in the kingdom.

    Backed by Soft Bank’s Vision Fund, Katerra makes its expedition in the Saudi market, introducing advanced construction technology to support the country’s infrastructure plan outlined in Vision 2030.
