Brand Leader, CASE India
The compactors market segment has been witnessing intense competition in recent times. One name that has made a mark for itself in this segment is CASE India.
In an exclusive chat, Mr. Ajay Aneja, Brand Leader of the company gave an overview of the compaction market scenario and what gives CASE India’s compactors the competitive edge.
Here are the edited excerpts.
Against the backdrop of increased road development activities in India, how is the Compaction Machines Market expected to grow in 2019-2020?
Due to increased road activities, the demand of compaction equipment is to remain strong. While there is a downfall in the economy, construction and Infra sectors have seen a mixed bag with convincing order inflows. Hereafter the sales of construction equipment will depend upon the prevailing conditions of Infrastructure sector.
Discuss your ‘Make-in-India’ initiative; the manufacturing facilities and capabilities and also your plans for the near future in this regard.
With NDA regime once again in power, ‘Make in India’ thrust continues. At CASE India we believe that it is an ambitious project of the Indian government. Our testimony to similar approach is CASE India’s manufacturing plants based in India.
It operates at Pithampur, Indore (Madhya Pradesh) where CASE India produces its world-class compactors and loader backhoes range for Indian market as well for exports to various countries. The Pithampur facility serves India’s road and infrastructure sector and exports its products to some 30 markets. As a result of this local manufacturing expertise, CASE India has been India’s market leader in vibratory compactors and a leading player in loader backhoes. This manufacturing facility is a bronze WCM awarded and in constant endeavor to move to silver.
Along with the manufacturing facilities, we have 74+ dealerships across India and one dedicated company owned showroom CASE NCR in Delhi NCR region for direct dealing and networking with clients. With efficient mapping of expansion plans in the Indian market we aim to establish our footprints with maximum dealerships across India.
In this era of fast-paced road construction, showcase how your various solutions in the compaction sphere is equipped to handle the paradigm shift and as well as how they performed in 2018-2019.
Under compaction segment, CASE offers 752EX (9T Class) Vibratory Tandem Compactor and 450DX Mini Tandem Compactor (3T Class). In soil compactors, CASE has 1110 EX-D and 1107EX perfect for uniform compaction across terrain. This wide range of equipment illustrates the brand’s ability to cater for activities as diverse as urban construction, road building, infrastructure, bridge construction.
In terms of efficiency, CASE 752EX is equipped with a 3.9-liter 4-cylinder engine, a mechanical injection system and internal exhaust gas recirculation delivering 76 HP at 2200 rpm and torque of 332 Nm at 1300 rpm. This new-generation engine is developed by CNH Industrial subsidiary FPT Industrial – the world-leading manufacturer of engines. The 752EX’s operator compartment features a rotating operator seat and tilt-able steering which gives excellent front and rear drum/nozzle visibility, making the drive and compaction process easier and safer. The look of the machine is enhanced by a foldable canopy for ease of transportation, new fuel and water tanks and an all-new sophisticated instrument cluster.
CASE 450DX is another market leader in Mini Tandem Compactor segment in India. This machine is perfect for shoulder compaction, service roads and basement compaction with compact design.
CASE’s soil compactor variants are well suited for various earth layers. CASE India’s recently launched 1110 EX- D Soil Compactor (12T Class – Powered by FPT engine developing 110HP), with its closed HVAC cabin and a more powerful engine, the compactor is highly suitable for heavier application usage.
In the technological front, we are working on adoption of Compaction meter and Eagle-Eye-Telematics in compactors for better performance of the machine.
