    Power Grid to energized 765 KV in West Bengal

    In a competitive bidding conducted by PFC Consulting, Power Grid Corp has got the tendered project of transmission 765 KV in the eastern region.

    According to the bid document, the project includes setting up of 765/400kV, 2x1500MVA substations at Medinipur and establishment of 765/400kV, 2x1500MVA substations at Jeerat, West Bengal.

    The proposition has been acquired by Power Grid under tariff-based competitive bidding. Power Grid has to establish a ‘765KV to Strengthening the Eastern Region’ on build, own, operate and maintain basis. The Letter of Intent (LoI) has been received on February 21, 2017,” Power Grid Corp said in a BSE filing today.

    The project also includes LILO (loop in loop out) of both circuits of Chandithala-Kharagpur 400 kV D/c line at Medinipur

    Ranchi-Medinipur 765kV D/c line

    Medinipur-Jeerat 765kV D/c line

    Jeerat-Subhasgram 400 kV D/c line

    Jeerat-Jeerat (WBSETCL) 400 kV D/c line

    LILO of Jeerat(WBSETCL)-Subhasgram (PG) 400 kV S/c section at Rajarhat and two 400 kV GIS line bays at Jeerat (WBSETCL).
