Six-laning of Bengaluru-Mysore in 6 months to be started. B T Jwalendra Kumar, project director, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said the final date of submission of bids is July 28.
In this project, nearly 10 companies, including foreign firms of Malaysia have already expressed interest. Once the bids are submitted, firms will be divided into two packages after technical evaluation, he said.
He further added that once the project is completed it will take just 90 minutes to reach Mysuru from Bengaluru. The project will cover a distance of 118 km.
On the expressway, he said, toll for a car from Bengaluru and Mysuru will be around `200. The cost of construction of the project will be `4,700 crore and land acquisition will need another `2,700 crore, he said.
