The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) celebrated its ‘Foundation Day’ with a back-to-back seminar and awards function. The events were held at the NIMHANS Convention Centre on the 10th and 11th of May. The events were a grand success and showcased ACCE(I)’s rich heritage and journey.
The recently concluded foundation day celebrations underscored ACCE(I)’s commitment to serving and protecting the Civil Engineering Community and Fraternity of India. Commemorating the event, the organizers put together a seminar that attracted a vast number of practitioners and students from the civil as well as architectural discipline. It was the first event of the body that attracted more than 50 architects – another feather in the hat for ACCE(I).
The national seminar on the design and construction of Concrete-Steel Composite Structures contained 12 sessions over the course of one and a half days. The sessions were well-thought-out and were delivered by leaders in the respective fields – attracting a large and mixed audience. The ensuing awards day function recognized luminaries and companies who are doing outstanding work in the industry.
The events were presided over by Chief guest Swami Veereshananda Saraswati, head of the Tumakuru Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Guest of Honor Gururaj S Thali, Chairman and MD Innotech Engineering Consult Private Limited and ACCE(I) national heads like President Sanna Ratnavel, Secretary General K R Garudadhwajan, Treasurer Prakash C H, past President and current Chairman Awards Committee Dr Ajit Sabnis, Bangalore Chairman R Rajesh Kannan, Secretary Vijay B Kulkarni and Manager – Admin S D Anne Gowda.
