The world’s largest spokeless Ferris wheel, “shi lai yun zhuan,” which means “turn of fortune,” is under construction in Bauhinia (Zijing) Park in Changzhou, China. The park is located in the east province of Jiangsu.The wheel will measure 89 meters high and will weigh around 3000 tons.The wheel looks like a giant ring and will spin without spokes. The $23.8 million project is expecting completion and is slated for operation by June 2013.The Ferris wheel is an effort to boost the country’s tourism. However, many Ferris wheels have been built in large cities. They are usually used as observation wheels.
